You can publish whatever you want in the Offcanvas Section. It can be any module or particle.

By default, the available module positions are offcanvas-a and offcanvas-b but you can add as many module positions as you want from the Layout Manager.

You can also add the hidden-phone module class suffix to your modules so they do not appear in the Offcanvas Section when the site is loaded on a mobile device.

What should I expect on my first visit?

At your first visit you will fill out a brief intake form. Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first appointment. You will consult with your therapist and go over your history, concerns, any questions you may have, and your goals for the visit. There are many types of massage therapies available to you. We encourage you to learn what some of the different types of massage therapies are and their intended uses, but you do not need to determine which of our massage therapies are right for you. When you visit with us, we will sit down and determine what the best course of action is according to your individual needs.

What Should I Expect During the Massage?

During your session you should simply relax. Some people relax to the point of falling asleep while others remain awake and like to chat with their therapist. If your therapist needs help lifting your arm, or turning your head, they will let you know. Your therapist will check in to make sure you are comfortable with the pressure being used. Please be sure to mention any medical or special needs to our friendly front desk staff when making your appointment and bring any medical clearance letters signed from your doctor, if applicable. Please also include any details about your condition on your initial intake form, as well as share any information with your therapist.

What Should I Expect After the Massage?

Directly after a massage some people feel increased energy but most people feel relaxed, sleepy, or even a bit dizzy. People sometimes feel soreness for a day or two, but this is normal. It is important to drink a lot of water, after your massage, in order to flush out the toxins that were released during your treatment.

Loved Your Massage? How Much Should I Tip?

Whether it's truly a treat or a preventive step for your muscles, massages are a wonderful way to treat your body. Because a massage therapist is providing a service in a spa setting, as a courtesy, you should tip them in addition to the cost of your service. One option for determining how to tip a message therapist is to use the standard hospitality rate of 10 to 15 percent. Some people use this figure across the board at restaurants, bars, spas and salons. With a price range of $50 to $100 for a massage, this would equate to a tip of $5 to $10 at 10 percent and $7.50 to $15 at 15 percent. You can tip more or less depending on how pleased you were with the service. Remember, at a spa, you're paying the spa for the service you receive from the massage therapist. While he or she receives a portion of your payment, the therapist is not being paid directly. Your tip helps to cover the overhead that is deducted by the business from his or her payment. If you are unsure of what to tip, ask what the average tip for his or her services are..

What is Deep Tissue Massage?

A deep tissue massage is very similar to the Swedish massage, but differs in deeper pressure. By focusing with extremely deep pressure towards major muscles, this helps in releasing chronic muscle tension. The main and deepest layers involved are big muscles groups, tendons, and the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints. Traditionally designed to apply pressure to layers of muscle, tendons and other tissues deep under the skin, deep tissue massage can be very effective in relieving problem areas and is highly therapeutic. Deep tissue massage is generally a modality to consider for athletes as well as the eight-to-five desk job. Muscles easily become tense and deep tissue massage can relieve some chronic patterns of pain and tension, specifically in the back, shoulder and neck areas.

What is Swedish Massage?

Considered the “traditional” modality of modern massage, Swedish massage has simply lasted the test of time thanks to the great benefits of healing touch. If you have ever had a massage, chances are you have experienced at least some form of Swedish massage. In fact one of the most popular bodywork massages is the Swedish massage therapy. It’s technique is designed to relax the entire body and is accomplished by simply focusing on muscles. By stroking the direction of blood returning to the heart, the Swedish Massage provides an amazing relaxing experience.

What is Thai Massage?

Traditional Thai Massage is one of the world’s oldest healing arts. It was created primarily for curative purposes rather than simply for relaxation. The technique of Thai massage is to provide a deep muscle, full-body treatment, which includes both stretching of muscles and joints and applied pressure to the “Sen lines” (energy lines). is a stretching technique that treats soft tissue problems. Fascia is a thin tissue that covers organs all over the body. When injured, the fibers and the fascia which surrounds muscles become short and tight. This uneven stress can cause pain throughout the body. Thai Massage is a highly specialized stretching technique used by therapists to treat patients with a variety of soft tissue problems. This process is extremely gentle.
